EdGCM works on Mac but not PC

I have installed EdGCM on a group of computers, a mixture of elderly 500 MHz G4 Macs running OS X 10.4.11 and 1.5 GHz Athlon PCs running Windows XP SP2. EdGCM runs happily on the Macs but will only run once on the PCs. On the second and subsequent attempts to run on PC 4D hangs and I get the following error message:

Windows cannot find 'C:\Documents and Settings\Jon Lavis\Desktop\EdGCM\Database\EdGCM.4DB'.

I have examined the offending folder and EdGCM.4DB is exactly where it should be. Reinstalling does not cure the problem. Any ideas?
